Upload overwrites former uploads

Reported by: thor42 Owned by:
Priority: minor Milestone: 2.4
Component: unspecified Version:
Keywords: overwrite Cc: music6942@yahoo.com

Description

If a file e.g. 01.jpg is uploaded thru drag/drop and later another file 01.jpg is uploaded thru drag/drop the former is silently deleted. The function upload( however has an option overwrite, which should be false, but it seems not working.

  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Resolution set to fixed

The drag and drop upload is handled in Controller/BrowserController?.php in function plupload(). You can change

$filename = $this->Plupload->upload($dst);

to

$filename = $this->Plupload->upload($dst, array('overwrite' => false));

to disabled the overwrites.

So the upload via drag'n'drop works as expected (coded). If you like to change this behaviour, please drop a line.
