Breadcrumb Bar with IE8 Not Working Correctly

Reported by: dgBoldt Owned by: sebastian
Priority: minor Milestone: 2.4
Component: explorer Version: 2.0
Keywords: breadcrumb, IE8 Cc:

We are implementing your photo gallery for internal intranet use and We're having a problem with the breadcrumb bar with IE8 on windows XP.

The problem is that the breadcrumb bar is not on one line, but multiple. It seem as if the <li> tags are not working correctly. And when we add a fitter the option to get rid of it is not there. This is a fresh install with the current version of phTagr on our servers. Also tried it on an external server that another company provides and it works properly like it should.

Do you have any ideas or suggestions to correct this?

Thank you for your report and your deployment!

The layout was not heavily tested with Windows and IE. The breadcrumb uses "display: inline-block" which is not supported by IE.

If you are familiar with CSS you can fix this problem in phtagr/app/webroot/css/breadcrumb.css or phtagr/phtagr/webroot/css/breadcrumb.css (depending on your installation settings). Otherwise I will try to fix it as soon as possible and will update this ticket.

We figured out part of the issue with the breadcrumb bar on IE8, it needs the fully qualified domain name to display properly ( Still doesn't work in IE7 but that's not a big issue.
